Join us at the farm for this 3 part series on growing a bountiful summer garden at home 🌱☀️

Dates:

  • Saturday, Feb 17th

  • Saturday, April 6th

  • Saturday, May 4th

Time: 10:30 am -12 pm

  • First class: we will learn how to select the best seed varieties for our region, how to sow seeds, and how to deal with problems in germination. We will then work together to sow seeds in our greenhouse.  These plants will be ready for pickup in the final class of the series in May.

  • Second class: we will learn the pros and cons of different growing practices, how to prepare garden beds and containers, fertilization and water requirements, and how to step up seedlings. We will then work together to step up the plants that we sowed last month.

  • Third class: we will start by selecting your plants to take home!! Then, stay for a workshop on how to plant and care for your new seedlings, how to manage growing in the ground or in containers, and how to deal with pests and diseases throughout the summer. We’ll give you all the information you need for a successful summer garden!

We are a non-profit education farm. All donations are used to provide educational expereinces for the comnuity and maintain the farm. We ask that you donate $25-$50 (or as much as you can) to participate in this program. This includes 3 (optional) workshops and seedlings to take home!
