Workshop Overview:

This interactive workshop is designed for kids ages 2+ and their parents or guardians.

Together we'll explore:

  • What composting is and why it matters 🌎

  • All About Worms and their role in the ecosystem ♻️

  • How to Start your own bin at home 📰

  • Hands on touch and engagement with worms 🪱

  • Farm Fun: chickens and harvesting 🍅

Whether you're an expert composter or just looking for fun things to do with your child, this workshop is for you. This is a wonderful opportunity to connect with nature, teach our children sustainable habits, and build community.

Admission is free, donations welcome.

Space is limited to 15 families.

Made possible in part by funding from the County of Santa Clara’s Food Systems Resiliency Grant Program, the goal of the Taylor Street Community Compost Hub is to support food waste public education and engagement, and build capacity for community-scale composting.
